Timetable via telephone

No matter when you need travel information. The electronic voice service provides you with timetable information for the VVO region around the clock, seven days a week This service is currently only available in German.

To get VVO travel information on the telephone, call:

  • 0180 / 22662266 (6 ct per call from any German landline telephone)

You will be welcomed by our voice computer:

“Welcome to the Upper Elbe Regional Transport info hotline. To talk personally to one of our customer service staff, please press 1. To get travel information from our voice computer, please press 2.”

Outside our business hours you can leave a message on our answering machine, we will call you back if you wish.

This is how the voice computer works:

Step 1 – Select the desired type of information

“ Hi! I am Doris, your automatic timetable information agent from Intermobil. […] Do you want me to suggest a connection based on a departure time, or based on an arrival time – or would you like to get information about a certain stop or station?”

Please select the desired type of information.

  • Departure time
  • Arrival time
  • Information about a stop or station

Step 2 – Enter information

“Please specify starting point, destination and desired departure time.”

Speak naturally and answer the questions asked by the system (you can provide the information in any order), e.g. “I would like to get from Dresden, Altmarkt to Hoyerswerda, Lausitzer Platz as soon as possible.”

Step 3 – Confirm

“You would like to travel from starting point Dresden, Altmarkt to destination Hoyerswerda, Lausitzer Platz now?”

If the information repeated by the system is correct, say “Yes.” If not, you can correct the information by saying “No.”

Step 4 – Result is announced

“9:44 take tram no. 8 direction Hellerau, Kiefernweg from Hauptbahnhof to Postplatz, service centre. The journey takes about 7 minutes.”

If you want to pause the announcement, press the asterisk key.

Step 5 – Repeat result

“Would you like to go earlier, later or do you want to hear the connection details again?”

  • “Earlier.”
  • “Later.”
  • “Again.”

To skip this step, say “No.”

Step 6 – Further information

“Would you like to get another piece of information?”

If so, say “Yes.”
