Pedestrian zones
Pedestrian zones are those streets that have been reserved exclusively for people on foot. Only cyclists, delivery vehicles and public transportation vehicles are also occasionally allowed to use these zones. The start of a pedestrian zone is marked by the sign you see here.
How to get there with bus, tram or train
The pedestrian zones are perfect for those people who would like to do some relaxed shopping. Since the pedestrian zones are surrounded by numerous department stores, shops, boutiques and cafés, shoppers and window shoppers can stroll through the streets in peace. If you are looking for green spaces, flowers and trees, then you should choose one of the parks or gardens instead.
The pedestrian zones are always easy to reach by public transport since they are located in the middle of down town. Those who prefer to come by car can leave their vehicle at one of the P+R car park and then continue on into the city centre with public transport from there – or search for a parking spot right down town.
