• Fares: an overview

Here you can find the current map of the tariff zones. In addition, we will inform you about the rules on stops located on the border between two tariff zones, tariff zone border areas and the fare stages for monthly passes.

• Tariff zones

There are special tariffs that apply to destinations outside the area covered by the VVO. Here you can find out more about the rules for using the train, regional bus transportation and to what extent tickets can be used for other transportation companies.

• Beyond the VVO

Bohemia’s dramatic rocky crags, historic villages, old castles and fortresses, not to mention delicious Bohemian dumplings for lunch – all these things make a trip over the border into the Czech Republic worthwhile. The excellent local transport and affordable fares mean hiking and shopping trips could hardly be easier.

• Travelling to Bohemia

The VVO offers reduced fares and in some cases free travel for selected groups of people.

• Reduced fares

There are various special tariffs on offer for groups travelling together, depending on the size and the kind of group. Here you can find out more about the fares and the rules that apply to some of the special means of transport.

• Group tickets

In the area covered by the VVO there are special rules with respect to selected means of transportation. These apply to the Elbe ferries, the mountain trains, the City Bus in Meißen, the Kirnitzschtalbahn train, the elevator in Bad Schandau and the narrow gauge railways.

Here you can read all the details on the regulations wich apply to the transportation of animals and large objects such as luggage for each of the various types of tickets. You can also find out which objects can be taken along and which ones are excluded from transportation.
