Yearly travel passes
The best deal on offer for people who travel a lot is the yearly pass. You pay once a year in one lump sum and receive 12 separate monthly passes sent right to your home on one large sheet. The yearly passes are available in five fare stages. Regular fare yearly passes are transferable at no extra charge.

Taking along a dog, a bicycle or your whole family
The owners of a regular fare yearly travel pass may take along a bicycle or a dog at no extra charge. On weekdays and holidays, the owners of a regular fare yearly travel pass may use that pass as a family ticket (for up to 6 people, of which a maximum of 2 people may be older than 14 years) from 6:00 p.m. of the day before the holiday or weekend starts until 6:00 a.m. of the morning following the end of the weekend or holiday.
Validity in special means of transportation
VVO yearly travel passes are, depending on the area and the time covered by the pass, also valid for the mountain trains in Dresden, the City-Bus in Meißen, the narrow-gauge railways, the Kirnitzschtalbahn and in the elevator in Bad Schandau.
1st class
An additional card may be purchased that enables the owner of a regular fare yearly travel pass to use the 1st class sections within the VVO area. These tickets are available either as a weekly or as a monthly ticket.
Notes on purchasing a yearly travel pass
Yearly travel passes can be purchased from November of the year before the pass is valid up until March of the year of validity. Pay once a year and receive 12 individual monthly passes in a strip at the point of purchase or by post. In addition, there are numerous other benefits and special offers for subscribers. Notes
Children under 6 years of age, groups of kindergarten children and people with severe disabilities according to SGB IX (German Code of Social Law, Book IX) travel free of charge. Children between the ages of 6 and 14 pay the reduced fare. (reduced-price travel passes only with VVO ID card)
