One-day tickets
A short excursion on the weekend? Are you going shopping or just somewhere to relax? Are you a tourist in Dresden or do you want to visit the beautiful surrounding countryside? If you want to travel by bus or by train and get back again on the same day, we recommend our convenient one-day ticket.

After the ticket has been validated, the one-day ticket entitles the owner to unlimited travel (with the exception of special means of transport) within the area for which it was issued up until 4:00 a.m. of the following day.
If you are taking the family out for an outing, then the one-day family ticket is a particularly attractive offer. The ticket is valid for up to 6 people, of which no more than 2 people may be older than 14 years. Whether you want to visit Saxon Switzerland, Moritzburg or Meißen – with the one-day family ticket the entire VVO area is waiting for you and your family to come and explore.
Validity in special means of transportation
One-day tickets are not valid on narrow-gauge railways or for the Bad Schandau elevator. Valid one-day tickets entitle the holder to acquire one concession ticket per person for the Dresden hillside railways, the Kirnitzschtalbahn in Bad Schandau and the City-Bus in Meißen.
Validity in the 1st class
When using one-day tickets in the 1st class section, buy and stamp an additional ticket to put you in the correct price bracket. This surcharge is only valid for one trip, return trips and round trips are not allowed.
