Intelligentes Tourismusleitsystem Sächsische Schweiz (ITS, Intelligent tourist guidance system Sächsische Schweiz)

The aim of this pilot project is the development of an electronic platform for local tourism and personal service offers within the area covered by the Tourismusverband Sächsische Schweiz e.V (Tourist Association Sächsische Schweiz e.V.).

Semmering mobil

The project included the design and implementation of a bilingual system of signposts for tourists in the catchment area of the Semmeringbahn, as well as the development of an information system.

“Vehicle for mobility – Advancing public passenger transport in Europe” (Voyager)

The setting down of recommendations for an attractive, safe, efficient and affordable European public transport system was one of the focal points of the project. This was to be achieved through the exchange of information and experiences with public transport partners in all of Europe.

Permanent Regional Co-Operation (PRECO)

The PRECO (Permanent Regional Co-Operation) project aims at setting up a structure of permanent supra-regional co-operation within a European network.

Durchgängige Intermodale Reiseplanung mit Echtzeitinformation (DIRECT, Continuous inter-modal travel planning with real time information)

The goal was to combine local and regional travel information systems with those offered by long-distance operators in order to build up a co-operative network.

AMABILE

AMABILE is the acronym for the German "Ausschreibung und Modellierung von Alternativen Bedienungsformen in Form von Teilnetzen unter Integration traditioneller Linienverkehre" (“Tender and modelling of alternative transport structures in the form of partial networks with the integration of traditional transport lines”). The project resulted in recommendations for the transport firms and their suppliers on tenders for and the realisation of alternative forms of transport in rural areas.

VDV core application

The aim was the development of a continual chain of travel possibilities with one electronic ticket. The design of standardised system components and interfaces as prerequisites for the introduction of the e-ticket were the main focus of the study.

ALLFA – the new ticket generation

The aim of this research project was to test a new electronic ticketing system based on an automatic passenger detector and an electronic tariffing system using the federal standards for electronic ticketing (VDV core application).

Pilot project “intermobil region Dresden”

The aim of the project was to use innovative technologies and intelligent traffic management to increase the efficiency and the flexibility of the traffic systems and thus to reduce traffic overall.

Sputnic - Strategies for Public Transport in Cities

Building on the “VOYAGER” project, the aim was to examine best-practice cases (by comparison among European regions) to recognise forward-looking, progressive approaches for developing and establishing an attractive, efficient local public transport system, and to study and discuss how they can be adapted for other EU countries.
