Schoolchildren below the age of 15
Schoolchildren below the age of 15 can use reduced single tickets and day tickets.
Young passengers require a valid customer pass when using reduced weekly, monthly and Abo monthly passes and when using the BildungsTicket (ticket for pupils) and the AzubiTicket (ticket for trainees). These tickets are non-transferable.
Schoolchildren, trainees and people performing voluntary service
Schoolchildren can use the following reduced tickets even after their 15th birthday:
A valid customer pass is required for these tickets.
NB: The SchülerFreizeitTicket has been replaced by the BildungsTicket since 1st August 2021.
Prices and validity of discounted season tickets
Reduced-price season tickets are valid within the selected fare zone(s) in the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe on all local trains, suburban trains, trams, buses and ferries (except the Rathen health resort) as well as on special means of transport.
Reduced weekly passes
With a reduced weekly pass you can travel for one week from the first day of use. The ticket is available from ticket machines, any service centre, and on regional buses.

Reduced Abo-monthly pass
Schoolchildren travel more cheaply with the reduced Abo-monthly pass. The Abo-monthly pass is valid in the calendar month printed on it.

Children up to their first day of school and severely disabled persons are transported free of charge in accordance with the provisions of the Social Code Book IX (Sozialgesetzbuch - Neuntes Buch - SGB IX). Pupils up to their 15th birthday can take advantage of the reduced fares with a customer card.
